Duck won't leave her nest?

A mother mallard duck is nesting by our front door. She would typically leave every morning for 90 minutes until now. She was approached by a neighbor who fed her a piece of bread and she did not leave her nest. Since then, the mother duck does not leave in the morning. I am concerned she is too afraid. Any suggestions? Should I get food/water?
