Why is Mallard Fillmore such a bad comic?

I don't buy either political ideology, but this political cartoon is always stupid and never even has a joke. Doonesbury is way too dry as well, but at least there is some thought in those comics. I'm from Millard Fillmore's hometown so this comic offends me for even using his name. (offends me with its uselessness not its politics)
